SUPPORT FOR STUDENT FIELDWORK
(a)
Expertise
Requests
should be sent to the Hon General Secretary who will forward them to a
member of the Society who is willing to provide the expertise required.
(b)
Financial
Fieldwork
projects
for which financial support is sought:
(i) should not form part of a university or college course
(ii) should be undertaken in the British Isles, preferably in Scotland
(iii) may be carried out by individual students or groups of students
The maximum grant available for each project is £400.
Only one project per university/college will be funded each year.
Requests
for funding should include an outline of the project, details of how the
money will be spent and a
supporting letter from an academic member of staff of the university.
A
short report should be sent to the Society after the project is completed.
Fieldwork
courses
for which financial support is sought:

Individual
students undertaking a fieldwork course may claim the cost of tuition and
subsistence up to a maximum of £200. Only one student per
university/college will be funded each year.
